How Do You Know You Are Getting Real "Solraya's Sunshine Day Old Chicks"?

BOXES: We only use BRAND NEW chick boxes, marked Solraya's Sunshine Colored Chicks on the top cover, with our logo and addresses on the sides of the body of the box.

Our chick boxes are designed to transport 100 day old chicks. It is well ventilated and stackable for volume orders.

We seal them during deliveries.

Our dealers/poultry supply stores are advised to display the empty box atop their brooders to identify our products.

Be wary of recycled chick boxes used for delivering your chicks. You don't know where the boxes nor the chicks came from. They may infect your flock.

DEALERS: You may coordinate with us and we refer you to the dealer in your area. We monitor their deliveries and orders, so we can refer you to a dealer who we know have bonafide Solraya's Sunshine Chicks available.

UNIFORMS: Please deal only with our personnel. All of us sport the same uniforms, with the Solraya logo and the Solraya's Sunshine Chicken patch. We are properly identified when making deliveries, during shows and when doing farm visits.

CONTACT: You may call (02) 417-1800 or (0917) 847-2639 for information on our dealers or the source in your areas.

  7. You said that these chicken are not for breeding purposes, why is it that you sell rooster with hen as livelihood for GK site recipients? Thanks

  8. @ gale, where you the one I was texting with this morning? I checked with our Solano, there was no transaction for live chickens the 23rd of March (I presumed you meant March). Last transaction was like 2weeks ago. Plus, my staff reiterate that it is not meant for breeding. We sell the live for meat purposes at php150/kilo, surely not the price for parent stocks. Some want all male because they are heavier. Some want all females for eventual egg layers. Sometimes we get an sale of assorted, supposed to be for meat. Also, rare that we get a sale for live adults.

The only transaction I had with GK was done through DA here in Isabela. They bought day old chicks. We had repeatedly told the Gawad Kalinga people that we'd be happy to do a free seminar for the recipients. They didn't take us on our offer.

Doc Rey will call you later as we want to get the facts straight also. Some entity might be passing off our products with false hopes.

Thank you for asking and texting me.

    sandy

  9. @ gale, I believe Doc Rey had already called you. Let is reiterate that in our radio ads, blog, seminars etc...we always say our F1 Sunshines are for meat purposes. Not for breeding. As a veterinarian yourself, we hope you can do your share in correcting the misconception of the livelihood programs.

  16. Hi again, as a returning OFW, i intend to raise 100 heads from the start and expand accordingly, what i do intend is to raise chicks until maturity and sell them as "layers" for organic egg production. My farm is located in Magallanes, Cavite, 1 Hour drive from Tagaytay City and Naic.

Do you sell "all-female" chicks only?
Should i raise them from chicks to layers... will ordinary laying feeds work? or there should be a male, what is the ratio of male?

    ReplyDelete
  17. @ JudeMelendrez, We don't do selection now for te day old chicks and it will be cheaper for you to get straight run (male and female). You may slaughter the male for meat and keep the females as layers.

If you want, we may sell you females that are about 1month old. If you plan to have eggs that are naturally farmed, I will not suggest that you give layer feeds. And no, you don't need males. Healthy females naturally lay eggs :)

Read the blog further, there are topic that point to your questions.

  21. Gusto ko pong mag alaga ng sasso, I have no time po for the seminar, kasi busy po during weekdays. Is there any materials aside those things we get from other agri-site, like dvd.
Plan to rare up to a maximum of 500 chicks this coming february

    ReplyDelete
  22. @ Mariano, I suggest you read through this blog. The seminars are on weekends. You should find time to make project feasible :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Many thanks for the advice. I already have people to look at, well any way I will still look for the scheduled seminar that I could attend to.

Just want to ask, why a sudden increase of a day old chick from P35 to P65, is that still feasible to produce these chicken compare to broiler chicken?

    ReplyDelete
  24. @ Mariano, It wasn't a sudden increase. We hangon to a low price for so long and increased little by little to make sure the market isn't shaken :)

  25. What would u suggest, Is it cheaper to order from you and shipped or dropped by Airport in Roxas, Capiz than buy here at your dealer in Capiz. What is the exact location and tel no. of ur dealer in Roxas, Capiz. Many thanks. Jill Baldonado of Las Pinas.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @ jill. You are in Las Pinas or in Roxas? Cheapest will be to buy from us in Manila and you ship to Roxas by yourself. I don't have the contact number of the branch of our national dealer there, but am sure it will be easy to find Pacifica Agrivet. Don't mistake it for a store with a similar name.
