My Wild Harvest

Doc Rey brought me this gift from the farm. It was intentionally meant for me to sell at my weekend market stall as the clients gobble up what we produce in the farm.

But I remember that he needs his supply of Fermented Amapala. So why let a good produce go by. I decided to give back the gift of health and love by making a him a good batch of Fermented Wild Ampalaya.

Learn how to make it here.  Very good to control blood sugar.  It really works wonders.

Sweet Smelling Farm

SNot sure how these trees got to the farm, but I always thought that they were wild ones.  There are several of them around, no fruits, so I doubt that we planted them.  When we cleared Water Lily from the ponds, we transferred them to the near areas and thought of them as mulch.  The tall grass were down in no time at all, after mulching and spraying if IMO, so we had more space to walk around the farm.

Aside from the fertile space now for planting vegetables, as we walked around to look for what wild vegetables we had around....there was this sweeettttt  smell that my nose had to follow.  I had to step closer to these trees, initially sceptical as "they can't smell that good"....they were always thought as "just trees".

But they were the ones...such a mild, quiet, sweet scent:
You know what it is called?

I Like Them Wild....

...veggies, flowers... :)

One of the wild vegetables we have a lot in the farm is this miniature cucumbers.  They grow everywhere and love to hang and wrap around trees and these wire fence that protects some of our vegetables from our pastured chickens.

The time I took this photo, I got a handful and blew on them...just a psychological getting rid of dust...then popped them in my mouth.  The beauty of chemical free farming.

Very refreshing, sweetish and juicy.  Great to have mixed in salads for that minute crunch :)
