Garden To Benefit
I was glad that I paid attention to Zac Sarian's announcement today over the radio. During breakfast before Agri Kapihan, he talked about stalls open and if I wanted to get one....we can duplicate the alliance of Agrilink and we can go side by side :)
YES...sure! This will be an exciting garden show for us to explore and learn from the free seminars. Get schedule here.. "Gardening for a Better Environment"
While Zac and I were selecting our spots, some of our friends at Kaunlaran sa Agrikultura also got booths. We all laughed at us having a Friends' Pavilion :)
November 20-30, Quezon Memorial Circle, East Ave Gate. Near the restaurants and parking lot. I noted ingress at November 14...maybe that gives us more time there.
We will have the day old chicks, ready to slaughter, dressed Sunshines and our ready to eat products.

Sunshine At AANI QC

Better location, parking is good and the area is now airy and more visible.
Our dayold chicks' sales are handled by AANI office. Our booth will carry our dressed chickens, naturally farmed produce and other Organika products.
Instead of painting our booth...we decided on murals.

AANI Herbal Garden & Livelihood Center
Agri Aqua Network International (AANI) has relocated inside the Quezon Memorial Circle. If you are driving, enter the Commonwealth gate of Quezon Memorial Circle. right across Philippine Coconut Authority bldg (Philcoa). After you pay the parking attendant, you make a right immediately to enter the parking lot. You will instantly see the AANI area. Park right in front of the building.
Aside from the regular stalls that are open daily, there will now be a weekend market that will carry fresh produce, on Saturdays and Sundays.
Of course, we will be there. We enjoy being there with the AANI gang, eating inihaw under the trees...and entertaining the hobbyists and weekend farmers who frequent the place.
The relocation is great! Walk in sales have at least doubled if not tripled for all. See you more often there.

Are you...
Looking back or forward?
Before, I used to want the new year to begin, even as early as mid November. Maybe I wanted to get over the year? Lack of anything interesting to do? Something new was like a promise or a door to something different.
2007 and 2008 was different. Seems I didn't feel 2007 and 2008 pass. It was that hectic! I wanted to halt the last days of 2008, as there were so many things to be done yet and I didn't want to enter 2009 without the planning and listing of TO DO. Before you can do so, you have to relax to have an open mind. You need to have the possible lose ends done before you can relax. That is a big circle :)
We can't stop time though....and YES, we are now looking forward. Reopen stores and weekends markets on Saturday. We go back to Ilocos Sur on Sunday as we work closely with the project of Gov DV for his Ilocos Super Chicken.
AANI gets relocated to a much better area inside the Quezon Memorial Circle. We attend the PVMA convention in Davao and will have a seminar for Raising Sunshine Chicken about Feb19.
Wait...am suppose to relax first. Will keep you posted.
Happy, fruitful and workful lives for all of us!

AANI Herbal Garden and Livelihood Center
We have extended our booth at AANI QC Circle and enclosed the two sides with poultry wire. The hut in the middle was maintained as is so small meetings can be held there.
You can't miss us with our tarps, uniformed personnel, very visible from the seminar area and we are the corner you pass going to the wash rooms :)
Located inside the Quezon Memorial Circle, take the East Ave Gate to enter. You will see it on your left side as you enter. There is a lot of parking. It is also accessible using the pedestrian underpass that connect the Quezon City Hall and the Quezon Memorial Circle.
Doc Rey is normally there Saturdays and Sundays to entertain inquiries.
There are some Sunshines left to range so people can see that they are low maintenance.
Thing is....hard to keep the grass growing in a small area with foragers. With the number of booths around us selling organic vegetables and fruits, it isn't hard to feed them.

Heat was pleasanty on my shoulders :)
Am sure everyone goes through mountains of trials.
We get short on manpower, when you have to sacrifice closing a branch some days instead of allowing it to be manned by someone not equipped to be helpful to clients. It can't be enough just to be able to punch cash register. Losses from operating costs have to be smiled off :)
Then you have to catch the plane that has your imports....nap before meetings....then rush to the hatchery to check on day's hatch. Pack, count, print invoices while answering phone calls and texting, that is also while you have a client in front of you.
Quick nap again before you send off deliveries, then go straight to AANI for two more meetings.
The break and relaxation came when you were set for the 8hr trip back to base in Isabela.
I loved the weekend that just passed :) Truth is....the sunshine brings me joy. Can't call it work.
