Relations That Work

Means that we collaborate, we work individually, and work with one another....and we are all hard workers :)

It is rare that we get to sit down with friends and still do our jobs. The trade shows offer that kind of opportunity. Most times we are all miles apart, but the shows centralize us.

Doc Rey enjoys day2 of INAHGEN 2010 with Rene Almeda of Alaminos Goat Farm and Mr. Zac Sarian of Manila Bulletin :)

Can you guess what's next?

1st Day, INAHGEN 2010

Unbelievable 1st day! Normally, 1st days are the slowest. The exhibitors have time to go around as their chance, being quiet time from ribbon cutting till about 2pm. Not yesterday! It was so jumpy....but productive. That is what I like about INAHGEN, it is a focused trade show. They don't sell booth space just for the heck of sales :)

You have today and tomorrow to check it out. We are at booth #106, Solraya's Sunshine Chicken.

INAHGEN also gave us a seminar slot. Full packed :)

For those who missed the seminar, don't feel bad. We are still able to do a more extensive seminar when there are no constraints on time. Check our seminar schedules that we keep updated.

Incidentally, another thing I love about doing shows: We get to meet our blog readers :)

Inahgen Is Coming

Almost a year ago, we booked our space for INAHGEN 2010 here.

Today we get the email for exhibitors' meeting. I have forgotten about the Feb 3-5 show at SMX....but welcomed the announcement. I had been happy with the way the previous INAHGENs went and looking forward to joining this trade show again.

Our growers are welcome to join us in the booths and market their products.

See you: INAHGEN 2010, booth #106 (near boar auction), SMX Convention Center, Feb 3-5.

Joining INAHGEN 2010

When the email for the invitation and layout for INAHGEN 2010 came in, I had to do a doubletake on what I was reading...2010, yes I read correct. Come to think of it, that is just 1year from now and yes time flies and our schedules are full...so its fitting to block-off dates this early.

Rare that I find myself in my homebase office desk. Today was busy with faxes and email replies...and yes for shows, seminars and talks. March is almost filled up too!

Breaktime

After the flurry of the 2nd INAHGEN, by 8pm we felt really drained. You can't speak because mouth is too dry, can't walk because legs hurt from all the standing, can't think because you are too sleepy.

Today, was no appointment day. No radio guesting, just rest. Well, rest meant going to the two locations of AANI at FTI and Circle to touch base with the clients there, lunch at Salcedo Weekend Market and having two cups of dirty ice cream. Incidentally, I had two huge glasses of Fruits in Cream Milkshakes last night...excuse for all the agri show work. Am so guilty after all the calories...but still tasted GOOD!

Tuesday, hopefully, we will be able to visit Sunshine Capon of Joey Rigor in Victoria, Tarlac. This early, his capons are gaining interest in the local market. Even the editor of Agriculture Magazine of Manila Bulletin, Zac Sarian, immediately set an interview with him when he heard about a Sunshine grower doing the capons.

By Wednesday, its off to Batangas to check out a project we have been invited to go look into. Training in agriculture. There will be different modules. End goal is to make it profitable for farmers. We had been asked to give the training on raising our Sunshines :) I guess it won't be different from what we are really doing already.

Ingress For INAHGEN

It was fast and easy for us to set up....but see how the others are really working hard on their booths. We are surrounded by neat looking ones.

After we hanged our tarps, we had a late lunch at Padi's at the boardwalk...I gulped a glass of Margarita :)

See you tomorrow!

Info Ads 7-9

Here is our 3rd batch of Info Ads.

This set is geared to help our growers and dealers.

Our PR work and marketing is now focusing on spreading the taste and health benefits of Sunshines....assisting our growers.

2nd INAHGEN is a start. Several other trade shows have been booked. We are encouraging our growers to use the opportunity.

Some raisers have asked us how much they would have to pay for space taken up at our booths.

None. That is part of our total marketing plan. We all have to grow together. Together with educating the farmers, we also remember that our produce have to be known. Everybody is benefited, the dealer, the farmer, the end user....goes back to the cycle, we will grow too.

Join us in the trade shows that Sunshine participates in. Help us man the booths. Only if you know the other aspects, will you also be able to sell your products well.

All set for the tarps to be used for our INAHGEN booth.

I know how to fix it up already in my mind. Surely, it will be different when you are setting it up :)

Sunshine Packed Tuesday

8am saw me meeting with my partners for the breeding part of Sunshines. Just touching base about our arriving 2,200 heads SASSO Parent Stocks, and plans for further expansion for the 3rd shipment of Parent Stocks.

10am was at SMX for the 2nd INAHGEN Exhibitors Meeting. I almost passed out after the dizzying super escalator ride. I can't comprehend why they would have designed something like that. It didn't look attractive, inviting, educational nor artistic. Well, you may see colors after you fall off. I actually made a phone call during the dizzy ride up. It was an attempt to get my mind off the revolting spin being felt.

2pm saw me at AANI Circle. Met with a writer for a feature in their magazine.

Early evening saw me buying some cute stuffed chicks for use at the INAHGEN booth.

2nd INAHGEN, The Asean Farmers Congress, 27-29 February 2008

We will take part in the 2nd International Animal Health, Genetics and Nutrition Congress at the Mall of Asia, 27th-29th of February 2008.

Take a peak at the 2nd Inahgen

This promises to be a very good show as the 1st event was successful basing from the opinion of participants and visitors in 2006.

What makes it interesting is that the show is very focused on the needs of the farmer.

See you at Booth #49
